Quickie Candle Basics TOP
- If there is a draft where your candle is burning, it will not melt correctly. The draft will make the candle burn faster on one side than the other. So, make sure your candle is in a draft free area.
- Your wick should not smoke at all. If it does it needs to be trimmed. If you notice your jar
- becoming black, you are not trimming the wick enough. You should keep your wick trimmed to 1/4 inch or shorter at all times.
- At times your wick may form a small mushroom cap at the top of the wick as it burns. This is normal. Be sure to trim it off before you light the candle each time.
- The larger the puddle of melted wax in a candle, the more scent it will reveal. A small candle, no matter how fragrant it is, will not demonstrate as much scent as a comparable but larger candle. So, burn smaller candles in small rooms unless you burn multiples at a time to receive the wonderful aroma you await.

SHIPPING
If
your product arrives broken you will need to supply proof to us that it
is damaged and retain ALL packing materials so we can get the money for
the shipping refunded. You will NOT get a replacement product without
proof that the original product is damaged.
As
of 5/1/2008 ALL products shipped Internationally that arrived damaged
will be given a refund. We will not ship new products at our expense.
If you wish a replacement you will be charged for shipping but not the
product. You must email proof that the product arrived damaged.

DELIVERY CHARGES
The shipping fee will be calculated when your order is ready to ship. We do this so you are charged actual shipping cost. Fed Ex shipping rates vary based on the weight and dimensions
of package, shipping destination, choice of service level and rural or
non-rural delivery area. Due to these facts, the shipping rates may be
different from one order to another.

pride ourselves on the fact that we make available the highest quality
products. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your
purchase, please contact us via email or by calling 678.357.0114 8am-8pm Mon.-Sat. (est) within
3 days of purchase -- we will be happy to provide you with an exchange,
refund or store credit.

 What do you mean your candles contain 'no fillers'? TOP
We do not use any fillers such as palm wax, which is taken from palm trees. This is just another reason to destroy trees unnecessarily. Did you know that soy wax candles can be called soy wax if there is as
little as 25% soy wax used? Our candles are made with 100% natural soy
wax. Many companies claim to make "soy candles", and they may say "soy" on their labels, when actually their candles contain mostly paraffin in their wax with only a small percentage being soy wax! We guarantee that Black Corset Candles® are made with 100% pure soy wax (vegetable wax of soybeans) and that they will never contain paraffin.
Our wicks are made from natural materials for a cleaner more consistent burn. When burned properly our candles will last on average up to 50% longer than paraffin candles. Candles made with paraffin wax contain petroleum and emit those fumes every time they are burned. Is that something you want to breathe? Our candles are environmentally friendly and the containers can be washed out with warm soapy water and reused. So you not only get a candle that is much healthier for you, you also get a beautiful container to, safely, use again. (The images are NOT washable and will come off if wet.) All Black Corset Candles® come natural and dye
free. Candle dyes, though beautiful, are
highly toxic and release a number of known toxins and carcinogens into
the air while a candle is burning.
What is the best way to care for my candle wick? TOP
Always keep wick trimmed to 1/4" to keep candle from smoking. Soy candles do not emit toxins but if dye is
chosen, the wick is too long, or the candle is burned more that 3
hours, soot from the wick may accumulate on the jars. This is NOT the
same as the toxic soot left from paraffin candles. If the candle is not
burned in the appropriate size room for the size of the candle, the
aroma will disperse and you will not be able to smell the aromas.
(example: 14 oz size candle is for a small room of approx. 20 by 20.
Rooms larger than this will require more than one candle of the same
scent for aroma to linger appropriately.) Candles may produce black smoke when burned near drafts or under a ceiling fan.

Although soy wax in and of its self is nearly soot-free, all natural cotton wicks will smoke if they are not burned properly, or if the wicks are not trimmed when needed. Please remember, candles must be burned away from drafts and on a stable heat resistant surface. Please DO NOT allow water or moisture to mix with the wax. This can cause splattering and popping of the wax! Black Corset Candles is not responsible for any damage resulting from the misuse of any of our products. Candle care and burning is the responsibility of the consumer. Please burn wisely!!
